The Last Rays of Summer

Like most of you, my cards will begin to take on those warmer and deeper earth tone colors with the change of season.  However, here in Florida it's not even close to Autumn, regardless what the calendar says.  But for those of you who have already began to feel the crisp and cooler days of fall; I give you my little Florida girl, soaking up the last rays of summer!!  Isn't her outfit adorable?!?!  Both the butterfly and the half pearls were both originally white.  They were colored to match my card with my Copic markers...don't you just love that you can do that?!?!?

The Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog's new challenge this week is to use LAYERS.....at least 2.  Come on now, most of us use 2 or more with every card so this challenge will be super duper easy!!  I hope you will come over and play along with us.

Challenges:
Stamptacular Sunday = #75 Distress It
Pile It On = #35 Pile on Layers
Our Daily Bread = #28 Forgotten Embellishments (butterfly)
Color Throwdown = #109 Turquoise, Melon, Pear & Daffodil

Love it!!! She is super cute, love the coloring and you totally get the vibe she is soaking in the rays! Do you find living in Florida you overdo on the fall/winter things so it feels more like it? I do! I go all out with decorating, etc. Otherwise it doesn't feel right!

Wendy, this card is just glorious, hun! Thank you for keeping the summer alive for just a little longer! It is rather cool today here in the Toronto area. This is utterly delightful & I sat looking at which Copics you'd used for the colouring - this listing is so much clearer. I love your papers & the way you co-ordinated the pearls & butterfly is quite stunning.
Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog too.

Oh I just love these colors!!! GORGEOUS card, Wendy! Nope, it's not even close to fall. My daughter's birthday is mid-October, and last year we had a tea party. I had everything planned for outside, but it was sooooo stinkin' hot we had to move it inside. I hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot this year, because we are having it at the park. I'm praying for slightly cooler weather...
