Hip to be Square

Hi, there and welcome to another fabulous blog hop where the Perfect Layers designers are teaming up with the talented designers at Your Next Stamp.  With projects created using Perfect Layers and YNS  stamps we hope to wow you with some gorgeous creations today!

Being an 80's girl myself, I'm a huge fan of the YNS Fantabulous 80's Accessories cling set.   I used the Rubic cube image and colored it with Copics and popped it up with foam tape for dimension.  As for the card itself, I kept things pretty CAS (Clean and Simple) only using my Perfect Layer tool to create my mats of black cardstock and designer paper from Echo Park and a MFT Fishtail banner.   The sentiment was computer generated.

Now, let's talk prizes!

Hop along with us today and leave some blog love for our Perfect Layers Designers and the Your Next Stamp designers to be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate from Perfect Paper Crafting.  Your Next Stamp is offering a $50 gift certificate to use in the YNS Store. Prizes will be selected randomly from comments left on the DT blogs.

For my sample project I used the brand new Darling Diva, Aubrey.  I imagined her chatting with a friend on and thought she would go perfectly with the recently released YNS Talk Bubble Dies and YNS Awesome Journal Word Clear Sentiments.  I started with a base of White cardstock and layered it with Sweet Blush cardstock from PTI.  I embossed a layer of Kraft cardstock using a Beaded Ribbon embossing folder from Sizzix.  I added designer paper from Glitz (Hello Friend) behind the negative space in the YNS Talk Bubbles and stamped the YNS Awesome Journal Word Sentiments using Kraft ink from MFT.  Aubrey was colored with Copics and then fussy cut and popped up with foam dots for dimension.

I ADORE the images and sentiments in this new Barn Yard Love stamp set.   I created a cut out window on the front of my card and created a scene with some of the accessory images that are also included in the set.    I first stamped the farmer girl image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto PTI Kraft cardstock and cut out the window using an MFT Circle Stax die.  I stamped her once again on White Stampers Select cardstock, colored with Copics, cut out and adhered over the stamped image on the Kraft.  I cut clouds using Vintage Cream cardstock with YNS Puffy Cloud dies and sponged the bottom edges with Pacific Point ink from Stampin' Up.  I used some of my favorite county themed designer paper from Farm House Paper (Sugar Hill) paper pad and machine stitched the paper panels and added a bit of ivory crocheted ribbon.  The sentiment was stamped using Black Licorice ink from MFT.

Copics Used:
Skin: E11, E21, E00, E50, E93
Hair: E50, E31, E35, E57
Overalls: B97, B95, B93, E41
Hat/Shoes: YR24, YR23, Y31
Barn: E08, E07, E02, E15, C5, C3, C1

I Love You to the Moon and Back

This school year I've made and tucked these little note cards into Nathan's lunchbox to let him know how much he's loved and that I'm thinking of him.  I'm so sad that this is the last lunchbox note of the year - I cannot believe just how fast Kindergarten flew by.  I. Can. Not.   :(

I started with a True Black cardstock base for this "Out of this World" themed card.  Next I printed out a computer generated sentiment and then cut it out using PTI Spiral Notebook die.  The lined notebook paper was created with PTI's - It's Official stamp set using Baja Breeze ink from Stampin' Up.    The adorable little rocket and moon are both from the Your Next Stamp's - What Not Celebrate Die Set.  I added a rhinestone flourish which I then rainbow colored using my Copics and created  "stars" using Silver Stickles.

Mix Tape

I had some fun creating a gift card holder with the Your Next Stamp Fantabulous 80's stamp set.  I created my own template for the gift card holder using Bazzill Rock Candy cardstock. I dressed the outside panels up with designer papers from Doodlebug Designs  - Boys Only.   The cassette tape image was first colored with Copics, cut out and then added to the star made using the YNS Whimsy Star Layered Die.  The outside sentiment was computer generated.

I know that my kids LOVE getting iTunes gift cards - so I thought this would make a fun way to give them
and/or and make excellent birthday gifts for my niece and nephews.

The inside sentiment was stamped using MFT Black Licorice ink

Are you ready for some YNS cuteness?!?

Every year for Christmas I make a these yummy and easy to make Russian Tea Cakes.  They are SO delicious and are without a doubt a big family favorite.  And every year I also panic because I can't find my recipe which is written on a scrap piece of paper.  LOL  So when I saw the new YNS Clear Recipe Card set I knew that I needed to finally sit down and make a recipe card that I wouldn't lose.  And of course who better to compliment the recipe than YNS World Kid - Boris from Russia!!  :)  (Pssst...Boris is currently priced at $2 in the YNS Bargain Bin!!)

I started with a 8x6 base (which fits my recipe binder perfectly) of Smokey Shadow cardstock from PTI and layered with Kraft cardstock using my Perfect Layers tool.  The designer papers are from Teresa Collins - He Said She Said collection (He Said).   Boris was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copics.  He is popped up with foam tape for dimension.  I used one of the many fun sentiments included in the recipe card stamp set with MFT Black Licorice Ink.  I then added a YNS Fishtail Banner and a Perfect Circles border die from PTI.

Go where the wind takes you

I'm playing along with our Your Next Stamps' Fun Friday challenge, and this months theme is
Spring Fling!

Nothing says Spring quite like a fun pinwheel.  :)  I started with a base of Dark Chocolate cardstock from PTI and paired it with a layer of Vintage Cream.   I then cut map paper from Teresa Collins Far and Way 6x6 paper pad with the just released YNS Pinwheel die.   I went with a masculine feel by adding leather paper that I then outlined with some postage striped twine.  I colored a white lollipop/cake pop stick with an R39 Copic marker to match the color scheme and hot-glued it to the pinwheel.   A computer generated sentiment was cut using a YNS Fishtail banner and wrapped around the stick.

Don't forget to check out the YNS blog today where you'll find tons of "SPRINGY" inspiration using this month's just released stamps and dies.  And if you haven't participated in the YNS April Release Blog Hop yet, you still have time to do so & enter for your chance to win a fabulous release prize pack.

I told you yesterday that I was lovin' the new YNS Fast Food Dies....this is the new Soda die.  Isn't it adorable?!?!  (Pssst....There's a fun layered hamburger die also)  My card was totally inspired by the fun Doodlebug Designs - Boys Only designer paper.  I was tickled at just how easily I was able to duplicate the soda bottle in the papers with the YNS Soda Die.  I added a few rhinestones for bubbles that I colored with an B39 Copic to match the blue in the papers and then added a metal star brad on the label.  The sentiment was computer generated and then cut out using the YNS Fishtail Banner Die before popping it up with foam tape.   The Perfect Layers tool was used before I rounded the designer paper's corners.

And as always, Karen is also offering some amazing Hop Specials!

Thank U

I had so much fun with this months YNS release that my mojo was overflowing!!   I thought I'd pop in with a quick post and show you another quick and easy card I created with the A+ Teacher Stamp Set.

Being a school supply geek, I'm madly in love with this new WhatNot Back to School die set.  I could create a 100 different cards with all of the fun dies in this one set.  And what about the new YNS Letter Board die?  This die is so unbelievably versatile!!  With this one die - you get a grid, individual letters and symbols, as well as tiles with negative letters that you can use to create Scrabble like tiles (as I have done here).  I inked the edges of the tiles with Photo Vintage ink and used Pop dots behind the tiles for dimension.  A pop of red was added with the Saddle stitched ribbon from Papertrey Ink and as always my cards mats were created using my Perfect Layers tool.

You know that Teacher Appreciation week and the end of school are just around the corner...so why not get a head start on all those For the teacher projects with these fantastic new stamps and dies ?

Remember that you still have time to participate in the YNS March Release Blog Hop for your chance to win a release prize pack.  Please visit the YNS Blog to see more After Party Fun Friday projects.
And don't forget to take advantage of the awesome special that is going on right now!!

The Blog Hop starts today and runs though midnight, March 22nd.  Prize Package winners will be announced on the YNS Blog on Saturday, March 23rd.

Are you ready for some YNS cuteness ?!?

I *told* ya it was C-UTE!!  ;)
Meet Twinkie....it's name is cute!!  Haha
I created a very simple scene with the YNS Puffy Clouds Die and sun from the WhatNot Seasons One Die Set.  The hills were created with two bits of designer paper from Carta Bella (True Friends) and my favorite parrot green V-Striped ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.  The teeny tiny bow was made with my Bow Easy using the smallest prongs.  The little bird is part of the Joy stamp set.  The little lamb, clouds and bird were all popped up with foam tape for dimension.

Twinkie was colored using Copic markers
C3, C2, C1, C00 and B37 for the eyes
The cheek and nose were achieved with Faber Castell Pastel pencils...my new obsession!!

And as always, Karen is also offering some amazing Hop Specials!

More than a "tini" bit happy

This morning I'm sneaking you some Your Next Stamp cuteness before our March Release Blog Hop later this evening at 10PM Eastern.  I hope you'll stop by again and join us.

I created an embossed background with a Paper Studio Quatrefoil folder on Kraft cardstock.   I created the mat using my Perfect Layers tool before rounding the corners.  I used designer paper from Echo Park (Dots & Stripes) to cut out a sentiment panel with a YNS Fancy Frame die.  The sentiment seen was stamped with MFT Black Licorice ink and is part of the NEW WhatNot Sentiment Set One which is being released later today.  The sentiment coordinates with the WhatNot Seasons One die set which as this adorable martini glass.  I'm a HUGE fan of Apple-tini's, so I added a little green goodness with my Copic markers before adding a nice thick coat of Glossy Accents (that you can't see in the photo...boo!) for shine.  A small bit of V-Striped Parrot Green ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel was added for texture along with Pop dots to the martini die and sentiment panel for dimension.

I've created this card with our YNS Tasty Tuesday Monthly Challenge in mind which is to use this photo as inspiration.  In my world all of these fruity drinks all have alcohol in them!!  ;)

This photos also screams SPRING to me, which corresponds to our Ribbon Carousel monthly theme..."Spring is in the Air".  Sadly this is my last post as a designer for the Ribbon Carousel, my term as ended and the store is moving into a new direction with the focus on promoting the actual Ribbon Carousels and the exciting new designs to come.

I hope my creation has inspired to you play along with both the  Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog and Your Next Stamp's Tasty Tuesday challenge.  At the Ribbon Carousel, one lucky winner receives their very own Ribbon Carousel.  And Your Next Stamp will be giving away a $10 Gift Certificate to the YNS Store.

Thanks for stopping by....see you in a few hours for the YNS Blog Hop!
