Have you played along yet with this month's Ribbon Carousel Challenge?!
Our challenges are now monthly challenges with a big 'ol prize at the end for one lucky challenge participant....a ribbon carousel!!

This months theme is Fall/ Thanksgiving

It was a HUGE undertaking but I did it....I actually created 13 of these little place cards for my family's Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom's house later this week.  Since they were a true labor of love, I created them to lay flat for storage so hopefully they will last and be enjoyed for many years to come.

Each place card is 3 1/2 "x 2" in size.  I first cut the kraft portions and ran then each card through my printer to print everyone's names using the Always Forever font.  I then stamped the MFT sentiment above the printed names and added machine stitching all around. The strip of designer paper is from Authentique's Thankful collection and matted with Candy Bar Bazzill cardstock.  All of the card layers were created using the Perfect Layers tool. I paper pieced a portion of the dress on the My Favorite Things, Turkey Time image and then used a YG91 Copic marker to add shading.  The cornstalk was created by using the MFT Cornstalk Die-namic and cutting it out of a 1" wide strip of canvas ribbon* from the Ribbon Carousel (*This ribbon is no longer is stock).  To prevent the canvas from unraveling and fraying on the ends, I adhered Thermoweb PeelnStick adhesive to the back before running it through my die cutter.   The stamped image was cut out and popped up with foam tape for dimension and a pinch of real moss was added under her feet.

Copics Used:
Skin: E13, E21, E00, E50, R02

Count Your Blessings

This week our Ribbon Carousel Crewmate, Jessie Rone is challenging us to use buttons and twine on our projects.

Fall is without a doubt my most favorite time of the year.  The crisp air, cooler weather, changing of the leaves, wearing sweaters and boots....oh, I LOVE everything about it!!  And so, for my card I couldn't resist using MFT's Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch for my image along with MME (Mischievous) designer paper.  All of the paper panels were machine stitched and brown hemp cording was wrapped around and tied into a simple knot.  The main image and sentiment are popped up with foam tape for dimension and to allow the cording to go behind it.  The buttons used are from Papertrey Ink's Custom Mix.

Happy Harvest

Happy Sunday!!  I'm designing with the Sundae Girls this week for the Paper Sundaes Halloween/Fall challenge.  This weeks sponsor is Simon Says Stamp where you can find the images that I've used here on my card from CC Designs - Emma with Pumpkins, Butterfly Fence and Pumpkins.

Keeping the card design simple, I've used some older DP from Basic Grey (Mellow) and MFT's Solid Bracket Border and Cloud Die-namics.  The sentiment cloud along with Emma and her little cart were cut out and popped up with foam tape for dimension.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Guest Designer for 7 Kids College Fund!!

**Second Post for the day
Scroll Down for my YNS Challenge project**

I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am today to be Guest Designing for 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!!!  Not only is it seriously my favorite place to shop, but their DT consists of some of my most favorite Designers!!

The challenge this week to create a fall card using this
sketch designed by Suzanne Dean.

Well now that I'm writing up my post, I realize that I left off the sentiment.  I am the worst at sentiments.  If you notice, most of my cards don't have sentiments.  (Making a mental note to do better on this....)  And I guess I took the sketch a little too literally with the leafs and flowers!! Can you believe this is the first time that this Tilda has ever been inked up?  I've had her for a year now and I haven't given her any love.  :(  But it reminded me how fun coloring Tilda can be so you will be seeing more Magnolia projects from me soon.

Thanksgiving Place Card

Good Morning Everyone!!  It's time for another Your Next Stamp Challenge (#25) and this time the very talented Sylvia is challenging us to make a Thank You/Thanksgiving card or project.

I'm very excited about this challenge.  I decided to try something new.... Thanksgiving Place card.  I had sooo much fun doing it that I've decided that I will start a new tradition and make place cards each year for everyone.  Each year we have Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom's house and as mine and my sisters families have grown there are now 13 of us.  That's a lot of place cards, but I think I can do it!!  :)

I've used the super adorable Acorn Fall Fun stamp which I cut out and popped up with dimensional dots.    The fall leafs are from a fall foliage pick that I bought at Michael's and the acorns are real.  My 3 yr. old son was the inspiration for this project.  He found all these acorns at the park the other day and kept bringing them to me to keep.  I was about to empty my pockets before we got in the car when I had an idea on how I could use them!!!  He later asked for his own "Acorn Tree", LOL.

The place card is actually a tent card that I adapted the shape and size.  I didn't want the place card to "flatten out" and not stand up if it got heavy or handled too much.  It's very sturdy.

I hope you will play along with us at Your Next Stamp for your chance to win some great prizes!!

1.  Winner - One lucky winner, chosen by random will win $10 in YNS Bucks (to spend on YNS stamps) and the Winner Blinkie to display on their blog.
