I think UR brilliant!

This week our There She Goes challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week, Kim!
She is challenging us to make a card or project without using any patterned paper!!  Gulp!!!  LOL

I used this challenge to create another lunch box note card for my Kindergartener, Nathan.  I started with a simple card base of Bazzill's Peanut Cluster cardstock and layered with Peppermint cardstock.  I used one of my all time favorite TSG stamp sets, Cutie Pi.  The measuring tape twill ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel and the notebook paper die and stamp are from PTI.  I cut the main image out and popped it up with Helmar Zap Dots for dimension.

By the way, Nathan said he was the only kid who's Mom puts notes in their lunch box and the other kids always ask to see it and play with it.  :)  :)   I also just realized that he's been keeping all of the lunch box cards that I've made for him inside the front zipper pocket of this backpack!!  How sweet is that?!?!  :)  All this time I thought he was throwing them away.  :)

Need more inspiration to help you get started? Then stop by the TSG Blog to see the amazing samples that the other Trendsetters have created this week and then play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

A wonderful card Wendy, I love it. But what is even better is the fact that you do this. Your son must be so happy when he's showing all the other kids. Good for you.

I LOVE this card, and I just love your work. You are so talented. We met a few weeks ago at Violette's, and I'm so grateful that you've been coming out to share your techniques. I just wanted to let you know that my mom always wrote notes in my lunch too. In high school I missed getting those notes, so I asked her to start writing them again for me. My favorite accessory was cute plastic kids lunch boxes, (I graduated in 2000.) I loved opening my lunch everyday and reading my special notes-so much so, that I still have some of them saved!! They are so special to me, just as I know they will always be to Nathan. I'm thrilled you found his stash, so you know how much he treasures them. I can't wait til I get to do the same thing for my lil man-he's just 1 now. I look forward to seeing your next project! Jenn
