My 'Stache - Tutorial

In celebration of There She Goes 4th birthday, we thought it would be fun to create treat holder projects and provide you with the tutorials too!!  :)

For months now I have seen these cute 'stache jars all over Pinterest and thought I could create one for myself using TSG's Flava Sava stamp set.  Although the jars I have seen were created using vinyl decals, you can achieve the same look with your stamps and heat embossing!!  For my jar, I repurposed a old Yankee Candle glass jar.

Be sure that your glass is clean and free of fingerprints.
For best results use soap and water to clean the glass rather than a glass cleaner.

Static is going to be your biggest problem, so the MORE you apply onto the glass the better!!
Don't shake the powder off, just stamp right on top of it.

Having everything lined up on your acrylic block is much easier than trying to stamp each image separately.

It takes a steady hand to keep from smudging your image on the glass.
It took me 4 tries to get mine right.  ;)

I figure most of you know this, but I thought I'd give a little warning anyway.  LOL  :)

Give it a try yourself.....it's a super easy project and I just love the way it turned out.  You can fill the jar with candy and give it as a gift or keep it for yourself and fill it with spare change!!  :)  The possibilities are endless!!

Need more inspiration?  Then stop by the TSG Blog to see the amazing Treat Holder projects that the other Trendsetters have created for you today!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

What a great idea. Good tutorial. Now I'm inspired to try this. I can foresee this being used for some Christmas hand cream or treats too.
