Make a Wish

For our There She Goes challenge this week we'd like to see your "gift giving/presents" themed cards and projects.  TSG offers so many different stamps, and SEVERAL of them feature things that are perfect for this challenge.  It is also There She Goes (Again!) Week, and we are featuring THREE gorgeous stamps sets.

This is my favorite day of the feature - when all of the Trendsetters share their NEW cards made with the feature sets.   I've used the Make A Wish stamp set for my card.  This could seriously be the only birthday stamp set you'd EVER need!!  It has a total of 65 images and sentiments...a little bit of everything needed to create birthday themed cards & projects.

Once again, I've kept things CAS and let the My Mind's Eye (The Sweetest Thing - Lavender) designer paper do most of the work.  I tried a new to me technique, and did a little cut away design feature on the front of the card which makes it look as if the cake is on the inside, but it's not.  (You are looking at the front of the card base.)  Using my "Cheater Bow" technique, I tied some Mauve Grosgrain ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel across the front panel which is popped up with foam dots for dimension.  Some light pink half pearls complete the girlie look.  :)

The Trendsetters went all-out this month and made some really spectacular cards... Take a look HERE and then add your own.

Some of you may have noticed the lack of posts on my blog recently.  {Sigh} It has just been one of those months.  Things started out a little crazy with adjusting to the start of school, and getting back into the routine of things, etc.  And we've also been dealing with  the news of my husband's eldest brother suddenly passing away.  It's never easy losing a loved one, but family time has provided the comfort we've needed during this difficult time.   I just want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to stop by my blog.  It means more to me than I could possibly express.  Life here at home is beginning to resemble something close to "normal" and my blog will soon be as well.

Hugs,
