Friends to the End

It's the 1st of the month which means it's time for another Copic Creations challenge...
 ~ Landscape Design ~
Create any background scenery you'd like using your Copic markers.  Think of adding things such as grass, bushes, sky, water, walkways, flowers, etc.

We are sponsored this week by one of my very favorite stamp companies, Lili of the Valley!!  The image I've used for my sample card is called Best Friends. These little girls are just so darling and the stone wall they are sitting on was perfect for creating a landscape design. The stones in the wall were colored with Warm Gray Copics and I then added a touch of YG93 & YG91 to give it a mossy, aged appearance.  The blades of grass were made with a combination of short and long flicking strokes; using various Green and Yellow Green Copics for depth.  The pebbled ground cover was achieved dotting on ink with a handful of different Earth tone colors.  The sky background was sponged on with Versa Magic chalk ink - Aspen Mist.

Machine stitched was added to all the designer paper panels which is from My Mind's Eye - Good Day Sunshine Girl.  Sparkle was given to the headband, shoes, bow and flowers using a clear Spica pen. And a sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Mixed Messages, light pink half pearls, and strip of aqua ribbon makes it complete.  :)

I hope you'll take on the challenge and do a little landscape design of your own when coloring your next image.  And as always there are some fabulous tutorial links on the Copic Creations Blog to help get you started.

We have a new family member that I'd like for you to meet...
this is BELLA !!

She's an 11 week old Pomeranian puppy and is the sweetest thing!!  My husband has protested for years that we will NOT have pets...and especially NOT a dog!  Well, I guess we finally changed his mind.  :)  He said he knew that when we got the goldfish and hamster that they were "gateway" pets!!  ROTFL!!

Nathan has taken the responsiblity that comes with having a pet VERY seriously.  He walks her constantly, picks up any toys that she might chew on, and "worries" about how much food she eats.  :)

Brooke, however just thinks she's been given a new doll to play with!!  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Wendy, Wendy, Wendy you have got me all excited, your new addition to the family she is absolutely beautiful. Oh Wendy I had a little Pomeranian many years ago she was my first dog that I got when I was in my early twenties. She was the runt of the litter but boy oh boy was she beautiful or what. I used to call her my princess, I have photo's and a framed poster of her she loved having her photo taken unlike my little JR. You will get so much enjoyment from her.
I also love your card, lol, your colouring is awesome I could sit here all night looking at your card and your new doggy.

WOW, another gorgeuos make Wendy!

And what a sweetie!!!!! I love Bella and I think dogs are a fantastic way to teach children responsibility and respect - you won't regret it!!! It's much easier to ignore a rabbit - not a dog, lol!!!! Now, off to cuddle my Yellow Labradors....

Well - that's quite an addition to the family & I had to smile at Brooke. As for your card - I know it might be subliminally there but still - there are spots on those clothes echoed superbly by your spotty pebbles - I know you'll laugh when you read this...... but there was no getting away from it; that detail is there!

Gorgeous coloring! The paper is so pretty too! Love the new puppy! She is tooooo cute. My kids want an animal so badly, but I'm allergic to them (since getting pregnant with my first) so no animals for us. I feel like they are being neglected! I grew up with dogs...and I think every child should have one. So sad!
