Remember last week, when my daughter Brooke asked me to make a card for her? Well, naturally Nathan wanted a card too. :) So when I told him he could chose the stamp for me to use, he also wanted to pick the paper and all the embellishments as well. No biggie, but the boy could NOT make up his mind. Just as I would get started he would change his mind and pick a new image...or different paper!! I didn't want to zap his creativity...but it sure did MINE and as a result I'm not really sure I like this card very much. BUT, Nathan LOVES it and that's all that matters. :)
Of course I used this weeks sketch from The Sweet Stop for my layout design along with an image from Whipper Snapper Designs - Big Kahuna. The sentiment you see on the cork banner is computer generated. I adhered a small scrap of cork to a sheet of copy paper and then I ran it through my printer. It worked like a dream!! - just give it a few minutes for the ink to dry throughly or else it might smear.
And don't forget...the other Sugar Babies have created beautiful sketch
samples to inspire you with today. I hope you will stop by and check them out.

I think it's adorable and it got a thumbs up from Kara (my girl)! ;-)
Love that wavy border with the added bling. Perfection as always.
Love the story behind your card creation for today, Wendy! With all the changes along the way, the outcome is adorable...I'm sure Nathan will cherish this card!
Wendy this is Adorable! Love the way you used the cork and all the sparkle you added!
Such fun Wendy - love this!
Love the sparkle and that wavy dot border. Your cards ROCK!!
Wendy, this is so cute!! I love his pieced surf board, and I love how you printed directly on the cork, never would have thought to try this!
Well, I think you did sensationally with it - love the cork sun & the banner sentiment with that glittery edging which ties in with your spotted wave edge. Love the spotty ttheme too which carries through very well onto his shorts, the pebbly beach & I do like the way that twill ribbon echoes the strips on the surf board. Not to mention your paper piecing of those strips. Not an easy task when someone keeps unmaking work in progress.

How's your finger doing?
I think you and Nathan made a wonderful team..it turned out so cute!!! It takes a lot of patience to get through making a card with little hands helping out so much. I hope you are still enjoying the last days of summer.
What an adorable image! What company made this stamp?
AWW!! Sue, this is darling!! Your coloring on this image is adorable and I love the added cork board!! :)
Awwww I think Nathan done a great job on this one!! Love the colors oddly lol I love the turquoise/teal/aqua family, but not a huge orange person, but oddly enough I like it together on this card. And the image reminds me of the pictures of Eddie trying to surf hahaha
