Elisabeth Bell's October Release & Blog Hop!

Isn't she PRECIOUS?!?!?  See, I told you it was going to be good.

Welcome to the
Elisabeth Bell October Digi Blog Hop!

If you've come here from Tracy's Valure's Blog, you're on the right path and your next stop will be Angelique Nederpel.

If you've just stopped by just to visit me today (THANK YOU!!)   But I'd like to encourage you to participate in the blog hop for your chance to win fabulous prizes.

This adorable image's inspiration once again came straight from Elisabeth's own two year old daughter, Eden.  Isn't she just the sweetest thing?!?!?  The very best thing about Christmas is children.  I know that I've never enjoyed Christmas more than since my children were born.  Seeing their little faces light up in awe is the most magical thing.  And when they are older and grown, these Christmases, while they were babies and so small will be the most special to me.

This digi is available for purchase today at the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.

Now about those prizes...
There's actually two ways to win, so grab a pencil and paper so you can take some notes.  I don't know about you but we keep ours by the phone.  If not, WE LOSE IT.

Okay here's how to win:

(1)  Each DT member has a set of words that complete a sentence that Elisabeth has chosen.  After you have completed the blog hop you will want to make a final hop over to the Digi Bells DT Blog and enter what you think the correct sentence is.  A winner will be chosen at random from those who post the correct sentence.

(2)  One DT member's blog has been assigned the "winning blog".  One lucky person chosen at random who has left a comment on the "winning blog" will be a winner!  (So you should leave a comment on each DT member's blog just in case they are the winning blog)  :)

If you lose your way along the hop here's the order.

--->  Wendy Ramlakhan (Me!)  <-----

Don't you just love that holly in her hair?!?!  Well, when I actually sat down to color her yesterday, she didn't exactly turn out the way I had been envisioning all week long.  I wanted a vintage look...it's distressed, but I wouldn't call it vintage.  The image panel stands out too much, it's too white.  I should have used cream cardstock instead.  I've had such disasters lately with my backgrounds that I was gun shy to try something to "fix" it.  Perhaps a crackled finish?  Hummmm....

Well, by the magic of the internet.....4 hours later......

Ta-da!!!

I love it!!  As I was typing this post is when I had the idea, so I decided why not give it a try.  Since I had already taken a picture, if it didn't turn out right then no one would know, so what did I have to lose.
I'm so glad I did.  This is the first time I've tried the Crackle Accent.  (I just got it this week actually, LOL)  It curled up the ends of the image some, but nothing strong adhesive can't fix.   My husband loved it before and I showed him the crackled version before we went to bed and he said he didn't know which way he liked best.  :)

Don't forget to collect your words...Your next stop is Angelique Nederpel.
