Halloween & Other News!

I hope that those of you that celebrate Halloween had a safe and fun night, I know we did.  

I had created 20 of these little treat boxes for, Nathan to give to Kindergarten classmates yesterday.  He said they were a big hit and no-one wanted to mess them up by opening them!!  :)  

How sweet is THAT?!?! 

The template for the boxes and the faces are all created using stamps from Inky Antics.  All of the boxes were created using Bazzill cardstock - Marshmallow, Easter Grass,  Circus Peanuts, Gummy Bear and Jelly Bean.  The boxes were tied closed with black stain ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.

I have some exciting news!!   I've been PUBLISHED!!  :)

  I was asked to join Whimsy Stamps as their guest designer for their October Magazine and I'm on pages 53, 54 & 55!!

Celebrating with some Christmas Candy!!

I was thrilled when Karen at Your Next Stamp approached me over the summer to create a winter themed gift set for Staedtler using their products and YNS images.  I wasn't sure I would be able to color without my Copics, but I was willing to give it a shot.  I used a combination of Staedtler Watercolor pencils, Fineliner pens and Markers to color one of my favorite images from YNS, Tabogganing Ellie.

And can you believe it?!?!  Staedtler is now using my creations in their winter promotional ad's in craft magazines across the country!!  Accckkk!!  I was so excited a few weeks ago when I realized that the ad's were probably starting to show up in magazines on newsstands that I rushed down to my local craft store and thumbed through the December 2011 issue of Crafts 'n Things magazine until I found the ad!!

The kids and I were squealing and giggling in the aisle of the store!!  :)   I then spent the better part of the afternoon trying to convince Nathan that the lady they used in the ad didn't steal Mommy's project!!  ROTFL!!

I've been PUBLISHED!!!

Yep, I'm gonna BRAG!!!!

You will find two of my projects in this Special Stamp It Techniques issue!!

I've had to keep this a secret ever since the first of SEPTEMBER!!! 

But since the issue is now out on news stands I can finally share my good news!!

I have a crazy list of all the things I'd like to do/see/experience before I die (this was before the Bucket List) and being published was on there.  It specifically says "have a scrapbook page published" but I'm gonna bend the rules a little and cross this one off the list!!!

I've shown anyone who will stand still long enough....I'm gonna need a new copy soon!! 

By the way...I'm on page 28. Hee Hee!!!
