Rock My World

Click HERE for There She Goes Blog Hop

Today's day THREE in The Greeting Farms week of Sneak Peaks and I get to introduce to you our newest member in the Creeper Crew...Riley!!

Riley is without a doubt my favorite Creeper!!  Her hair and face were just so much fun to color.  I decided to go with a monochromatic coloring theme when I wanted to use Echo Parks' (Note to Self) paper with those fun ViewMaster reels.  (Do you remember those?!?  I would spend hours as a kid looking through my ViewMaster...my kids would think that is so boring now!!  LOL)  I love the warm brown/grey colors and knew that the Copic W markers would be a perfect match to these papers.  I used a black button and frayed the edges of some SoapstoneVintage Seam Binding from the Ribbon Carousel.

Hair: W7, W5, W3, W1
Skin" W3, W1, W00
Shirt/Belt: W1
Pants: W7, W5, W3, W1
Shoes: W3, W1
I've received a few requests (okay...way more than a few, ha ha) lately to list the Copic colors that I use.  I use to be very good about doing that, but honestly I've become a bit of a lazy blogger and tend to forget that many of my readers would still appreciate that information. I get SO much love and support from your comments that I'm happy to add that back to my posts.    THANK YOU!  xoxo

Since I first colored her monochrome, it thought it would be fun to go the other extreme and do her up really GIRLY!!  I chose papers from My Mind's Eye (Market Street) which were also used to paper piece her hoodie.  I used my Copic R02 marker to color some white felt before cutting it with a My Favorite Things  - Mini Rolled Rose Die-namic.  Half pearls, buttons and Zig-zag machine stitching along the background panel all add to the delicate/girly theme I was going for.  And the final feminine touch was adding the gorgeous silky Reversible Pink/ Light Pink Satin ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.

Oh Wendy you are so so right! I love this little Creeper! She is just so adorable and I love both ways that you have colored her ! I think that your view master paper is fantastic and works so well on your card. I remember spending so much time as well looking at each little detail in those 3d pictures. Oh if only our kids could enjoy the simple things. lol... I also love, love how you have colored Miss Riley on your second card. He hair is just awesome and I am glad that you have added back in your Copic colors as I am going to give your hair combo a shot. I think that the pink and green combo of your card is great and very much becoming one of my faves... You my friend are making my pocket book shrink as we talk. lol.. Hope you have a great weekend. I like the one with the colors the most. I'm sure that some teenagers would prefer the grey one, but I'm into color. GREAT job coloring both---it's hard to get the greys right when you use only greys, that's for sure.

Hi Wendy, great image and I love the way you coloured her up first in the greys and then in colour. What a difference that makes! She sure looks a little frightning in grey LOL! Hugs, Frea
