RCC28 - Pillow Talk

It's finally here...time for me to make my Ribbon Carousel debut!!
And the very talented Ribbon Carousel Crew B designer, Andrea Ewen has chosen
a really fun photo inspirational for this weeks challenge..."Pillow Talk".

All the ruffles on those gorgeous pillows inspired me to use some gorgeous Burgundy Satin Pleated Ribbon (which is also available in 4 other yummy colors).  And for some fun texture, I added a scrap of burlap that I had laying around paired with some older October Afternoon designer paper.  The PTI buttons were tied with some delicious Cherry Divine Twine...I know it must be some sort of crafting sin, but this is the very first time I've ever used bakers' twine before!!  LOL  :)

The adorable image I've used is Apple Cutie from none other than Your Next Stamp!!! Who also happens to be this weeks sponsor.  You'll want to play along because the prize is the adorable YNS Ellie Loves to Bake stamp set, which is just in time for the Holidays!!  :)

We'd love for you to join us this week and you can click HERE for all the details.  But basically your creation can be anything you'd like, just be sure you use ribbon, bakers twine, lace, thread...(anything that comes on a spool)

I hope you will stop by to see all the inspiration Carousel Crew B has for you and leave them some love!!

Wendy Ramlakhan  (That's Me!)

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Oh, my goodness, Wendy your coloring skills are amazing! If I had one-tenth of your talent, I would put images on all of my cards! I love all the different ribbons you used, from the pleated satin to the twine to that super burlap! Your card is full of visual interest...although I prefer to say eye candy! :) Simply gorgeous!

I've NEVER used twine before so I have that to come.......... especailly having seen the way it picks up on the apple pips paper here. There's a lot of texture in this & I love your colouring of those apples & the way you've given them a warm glow. The various greens add to the sense of "apple" too for they build on that one green apple on your patterned paper - nice piece of placing with that one.

"A crafting sin"....bwahahahaha! I'm totally going to use that phrase...not for baker's twine but for a few other things, lol! Awesome card, as always, girlie. Love the coloring and that fun flower!
