Holiday Cookies

Ever make a card and the finishing touch kinda messed it all up?  Well, that's what happened to me here.  I am currently on a coloring on kraft cardstock kick and so I stamped these adorable YNS Holiday Cookies images on Papertrey Ink Kraft cardstock and colored them with my Copics.  But then I brought out my white paint pen to color in the icing and the #@*%$ thing got watery and ran all over the place.  With my day already short on time, I couldn't start over so I fixed it best I could.  Now that I think about it...I guess they actually look a lot like the kind of cookies I make, yummy but not that pretty!!  LOL  :)

I paired some gorgeous Celery Grosgrain/ Satin Edged ribbon from Ribbon Carousel with felt cut with a rick rack die from Papertrey Ink.  The sentiment is from PTI Signature Christmas, with some fun little Your Next Stamp Red Swirl Skittles on each side.

I hope you will find some time to check out what the other Sugar Babies have done with this weeks sketch and play along with us.

Now had you not confessed I'd not have known. It looks very authentic as far as icing is concerned - for the real icing tubes come out in thick lines just like that. Anyhow even if the lines are thicker than you intended the white pen picks out those swirly balls nicely.

PS - we're always our own worst critics when something doesn't go to plan.
