Your Next Stamp Teaser Time

Today I have the privilege of sharing with you a little sneak peek of Flamingo Fred which will be available as part of the new Your Next Stamp release on May 23rd.  I have used one of the two fun sentiments that are included with the image.

I think Flamingo Fred is just so cool!!  And although Fred is a a guy, I've made a feminine card using pinks and yellows from Fancy Pants - Beach Babe paper pack.  Such a fun paper pad...you'll be seeing me use it again real soon.  It's a little hard to tell from the photo but I added Glossy Accents on his beak and a little bit of Shimmerz under his wing.  :)

The saddle stitch ribbon flower on this card was created oddly enough by my 12 year old step son!!  Last weekend I had my ribbon out and a YouTube video tutorial playing on my laptop.  With 4 kids doing some sort of madness together in the room with me, I quickly became frustrated.  Knowing it was useless to continue with the crazy kid noise level going on in the house, I pouted and went off upstairs.  A few minutes later my step-son came to find me - apologized for the noise he and the others were making  - handed me this flower and said, "is this what you were trying to make?"  OMGosh!!  How sweet is THAT?!?!?  That afternoon he became my crafting buddy and made dozens of flowers for me using different ribbons!!  By the way...I never did watch that tutorial so I still don't know how to make them...but if you'd like to see it here's the LINK.

Please be sure to stop by the Your Next Stamp blog every day this week for a new sneak peek of the May release stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!!

That flower looks amazing - & it sounds like you have a really polite step son too. Love the pink & the way you've made the whole card to reflect the image of the Fred Flamingo. The way those two buttons are lined up with the holes echoing his eyes is so "eye-catching" if you'll pardon the pun.

Your card made me smile - and your post made me smile even more! What a fabulous step-son you've got! (I'm thinking he must be just like his dad, based on other posts you've written about your husband.)
Fred looks fantastic! I love the pinks and yellows and that sentiment is just too clever!

Fabulous card Wendy. I think this image looks great with girly colors :) How sweet of your stepson to apologize for the noise and make you the ribbon flower. He sounds like a really sweet kid.
