Feeling Frisky

It's time for a new sketch from The Sweet Stop and this weeks' sketch has a spin to it...
~ Make it Masculine ~

For my card sample I've used Your Next Stamps, Lucky Dog.  Isn't he adorable carrying off that huge bone?!?  I think he makes a great get well card for a guy, which I feel is really one of the hardest card types to make.  I used Spellbinder's Labels 3 and Circle die's for the image panel which I then popped up with foam tape.  The DP is an argyle print from DCWV (The Guy Stack) which I mimicked in the background with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  And those little bones are actually buttons I completely forgot that I had.  I was letting the kids make cards with me last weekend and gave them free reign with my old stash.  Nathan was choosing some goodies for himself when he said, "Hey Momma...this would look good on your dog card."  LOL What would I do without my assistants?!?!  :)

How lovely with Nathan's help - the bones are a lovely touch. As for the embossing matching theose papers - brilliant for a chap & I love that grass you grounded the dog with plus his shiny nose.
Have a lovely weekend.

Wendy this is just too darn cute! He looks like the happiest dog in the world and I love your choice of papers. Masculine but not too serious. Great card!

This is adorable! The little pup's nose is just too cute (as is the rest of the pup). The argyle is just perfect with this. I love the sentiment - but have to let you know that "frisky" has a very sexual connotation here in Canada so I got a huge kick out of this one when I first read it!!
