YNS ScrapFest 2011 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Your Next Stamp ScrapFest 2011 Blog Hop.

If you've arrived from Crystal's blog then you are in the right place, if not click HERE to be taken to the beginning of the hop.

Once again, Karen (YNS Owner) has been asked to design an exclusive stamp for this year's ScrapFest in Kitchener (Canada) this weekend April 8th - 10th.  And we are holding a blog hop to celebrate the release of this exclusive stamp.  Both this year's stamp and last year's will be available to buy at the YNS booth at ScrapFest or online from the YNS store FOR THE DURATION OF THE HOP ONLY!
Both stamps are at a special price of $6 each with FREE SHIPPING!!  Use code SF2011 when checking out.  The free shipping will apply to your entire order, so it's the perfect time to do a little YNS shopping!!

And what fun would a blog hop be without a prize?  One lucky winner, drawn at random, from the entries on the linky list will receive BOTH Scrapfest stamps (Shopper Fhiona & Cropper Fhiona).  You will have to complete the hop in order to be eligible and to find the hostess with the Linky widget.

Okay, now I'd love to show you my project using this year's Shopper Fhiona

Isn't she adorable?  I'll be attending the Scrapbook Expo this weekend in Orlando with my sister...I don't know that I will look this cute though.  LOL  I've used last Saturday's Sweet Stop Sketch.  Even though I wasn't feeling well last week and couldn't play along it was too good of a sketch not to use. :)  The DP is My Mind's Eye, So Sophie.  The flowers were made with MFT, die-namic flower die and I added a pearl in the center.  The sentiment was computer generated using Andale Mono font.

Her scarf and shopping bags were paper pieced and a few little blingy touches just for fun.  I really sparkled up her bracelet with silver Stickles and her coat has little aqua rhinestone buttons.  All the rhinestones and pearls on this card were colored with my Copic's to match.

And before you go, I wanted to share with you my card from last year featuring Cropper Fhiona.

Your next stop on the hop with be the very talented Peggy.  But before you go, I'd love for you to leave me a comment!!

Thanks to everyone for leaving me get well wishes while the kids and I were sick with the flu.  I'm happy to report that everyone is better now and things are back to normal.  :)  I've still not had the chance to do any visiting/blogging...I've been swamped with trying to play catch up with laundry and all that other boring real life stuff that don't get done when Mommy is sick!!  LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Take care with all the catching up with things - don't overdo it as flu can really take it out of you - never mind that you've had to take care of the little ones too.
That's an amazing combination of papers for the first card - so effective & I love her hair plus your paper piecing. Lovely idea to share last year's stamp too - I love your colour combination in that one. Hopefully our phone wiresa re now fixed so I'll be back to my nromal commenting routines.

I love your coloring! Gorgeous projects, girl! I will not be going to the Expo tomorrow. The boys passed off their stomach bug to me, so I have spent most of the day in bed:(

I'm so thankful that health has returned to your home!
What lovely cards!! The Eat. Sleep. Shop. sentiment describes my daughter perfectly!! I'm always in such awe of your colouring.
I was near Kitchener last month. It's too bad I couldn't have coordinated my timing. I would LOVE to go to a Scrapbooking Expo one day!!

I'm back as I followed the Scrapfest link and learned that there will be an expo in Oshawa this fall. I live only an hour from Oshawa - and the expo is being held at the college which is on the same campus as my university!! I'm thinking I might be able to work something out for this and signed up for the newsletter. Sorry to bother you again, but I'm just so excited that I might finally get a taste of what everybody is always talking about!! Thanks for the link!!

Adorable!! I knew I should've got these stamps and just not colored the Scrapfest part for everyday type cards. I wish I was in a location where I could go though..how cool would that have been! Love the colors and papers! Beautiful coloring!!!

Adorable card Wendy. Your card from last year was too cute and inspired me to buy the stamp from last year....hanging my head in shame, that I have yet to use...but seeing your card again makes me want to run upstairs right now and ink it up. :)
