Easter Tilda

This week at 7 Kids College Fund the challenge is...

~ Easter or Spring Cards ~

Should be a easy peasy challenge, but you DO need to use an image that 7 Kids College Fund carries to enter the challenge.  I've used Tilda and her Bunny from the new Butterfly Dreams Collection.  I ADORE this Tilda.  I think it's her hair along with that darling hat and bow that makes her so precious.

The DP is My Minds Eye (Mabel) which was machine stitched round the paper panels but paper pierced around the image.   I have a huge fear of destroying my just finished image with my crazy sewing skills, LOL.

My daughter Brooke asked if this card was for her.  She asks this about almost every card I make, so I just tell her "yes" now.  She came closer for a better look and said, "I don't like it...give it to Nathan"  and then walked off.  LOL  Heartbroken that she didn't like it (and here I was thinking it looked pretty darn good if I do say so myself) I called her back over and asked her why she didn't like it, she said, "it's not pink, I don't like orange...Nathan likes orange.  Do it again but make her pink Mommy".  LOL  I promised that I would try to color my next card pink.  :)

Challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown = #44 Sparkle & Bling
Stamptacular Sunday = #106 Girls & Swirls
Lil Red Wagon = Easter
Simon Says Stamp = Card for a child (Nathan - since Brooke won't take it, LOL)
Creative Inspirations = #107 Easter

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

If Kara tells me she doesn't like a card I get all heartbroken too! LOL I care more about her opinion then most..haha I think it turned out beautiful!! Fabulous coloring too! Her hair looks great and you can see it flowing. (mine didn't come out that way..you will see on Sunday!) LOL

Beautiful card Wendy. I think I need that image! Love your coloring, of course, and love all the new MME papers. Well, if Nathan doesn't want it, you can send it to me LOL! I'll give it plenty of love, OK?

I too love the colours - the orange with the turquoise & those brilliantly coloured trousers. Stunning how that flower embelllishment picks out the orange too & I do like that striped paper particularly. I somehow wonder if Nathan would really like it....... it is actually very girlie, & just wait until she's into the more grown up stage when pink is "uncool".

Oh, Wendy, the colors in this card are stunning!!! I'm not a big fan of the Magnolia stamps, because I always miss the mouth, hihi, but with your coloring skills, they always amaze me! And I love them! You truly add dimension to them, I admire that! Love your card!
Hugs & a wonderful day to you!
Wendy

LOL! That's uis just to funny! At she didn't like because it wasn't pink. My girls are that honest too and it drives me nuts when they don't like it either!

Oh and I totally feel your pain about sewing after all that work. I have been more daring lately only with paper I know I have plenty of though!

This is gorgeous!! I love the color! LOL!!

Incredibly beautiful cards you have made. And you are so good at coloring! Pattern sheets you have used are great together! Awesome!

Had to laugh when I read the story about you and your daughter. I have in fact a little girl that came and asked me the other day "Mom, can you buy a pink watch to me?" "And a pink ring?" And now the latest is "Mom, can I get a pink computer?" LOL she is only 3 years old.

Thanks for joining us at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.

Hi Wendy, your card is absolutely fabulous and your colouring is so great! I'm trying to learn colouring with shadow, but it's quite difficult, so I love watching other crafter's work and hope to do as good as them. Greetings from Belgium, Annelies

Your coloring is absolutely gorgeous, Wendy! You will be on the Magnolia-licious team before you know it!:) That is so funny about Brooke. My daughter could card less about most of my creations, and when I do make one just for her, she kind of shrugs it off. She's not a girlie girl at all, and I even joke that I have 3 boys most of the time. Oh well, maybe someday she'll appreciate them more...

Oh my Wendy your story brought tears of laughter to my eyes! That is so my daughter! I have the LOTV Princess stamp where she is kicking the present - reminds me of her so much. This card is amazing! I love your shading and the non-traditional Tilda colours - fabulous!

What a precious, precious card, Wendy!! I happen to like the colours you've chosen!! Poor you! Last week, I made some carrot-shaped boxes for Easter treats and I asked my youngest if he could tell what they were. He responded with "triangular prisms"!! (He's my one with autism and his world is a very literal one.) I couldn't help but laugh. Oh well... I tried!!
Know that your card is absolutely gorgeous!

Hey you gotta love a girl who knows what she likes and is not afraid to let you know it. I love the card and the colors you might just have to let her know they can't all be for her LOL! Good Luck with that!!
