It's the 100th Challenge at The Sweet Stop and to celebrate our theme is
~ How Sweet ~
How much sweeter could you get than Strawberry Shortcake herself? This is the theme my daughter Brooke has chosen for her 3rd birthday next week.
I was sooo excited when she chose Strawberry Shortcake because I still have all of my little dolls from the 80's and they are going to be used as decorations for her party. I've been waiting...yes, a long time to pass these little cuties on and I'm so excited that she's old enough now to play with them. The image I used is from an online coloring book (just google, there's tons) and then treated it like I would any other digital image by resizing and printing it out. Strawberry Shortcake has had a few makeover's over the years and so I let Brooke choose which picture she wanted me to color and was secretly hoping she would chose this one. :)
I had a hard time photographing this one. Her hair is actually auburn and not the same color red as the strawberry on her hat. And the strawberries and the flowers all have a bit of Shimmerz painted on them for sparkle! The strawberries were cut out from the DP (DCWV - Nana's Nursery) and then popped up with foam tape. I also printed the sentiment on the strawberry using a font called Sycamore Sans.

Oh this is so adorable! I loved Strawberry Shortcake when I was little! My Kara didn't seem too impressed...but thats ok. She totally has my love of Musicals. So we are good! Great idea taking the coloring book and using it as a digi stamp! You guys have fun this weekend..it sounds wonderful!
