Valentine, You ROCK!!

It's a new year and a new challenge at Your Next Stamp.
This time our challenge is a sketch provided by our fabulous hostess, Kerri. I adore Kerri's style and using this sketch was a blast for me.

I was finally able to use my adorable Henrietta the Hippo stamp.  Isn't she so fun and cute?!?!   I just love the way she turned out.  I colored her with Warm Grey Copic's because they have a more brown undertone to them.  I used my new Lacey Squares Nestabilities that I got for Christmas (thanks Mom) and MFT die rolled rose.  The image is popped up on foam tape for dimension against the embossed heart blocks.  (It's hard to see in this photo, sorry)  I added Glossy Accents to her eyes and sunglasses and a little Shimmerz on her hat and tutu.  I got a little carried away and added Shimmerz to the ribbon too but all that accomplished was to turn my ribbon darker with hardly any sparkle.  LOL

I have to apologize, this is not the greatest picture.  But, by the time I finished with this card I had lost all natural light to work with.  I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to photo editing software.  So I'm just thankful for my Ott light and the fact that my camera takes really good pictures.   LOL

Hippo: W7, W5, W3, W1, R00

Don't the warm greys work well with those browns? Love the varying pinks too & the contrasts both on the boombox & between the faceial pink & that tutu/hat. The circular matting really accentuates the hippo shape & movement too. Hope the kids are improving.
