Hot & Steamy

Here's my first DT sample for 7 Kids College Fund!!  :)   I hope you will take a peek at our new challenge this week for the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog ~ Hot or Cold.  

I chose HOT!!   And not just hot ...but STEAMY too!!  LOL

This will be my husbands Valentine's Day card this year.   I was so excited and happy with the way it turned out I've had a hard time not showing him.  LOL  I know he's going to love it!!

I don't have many Valentine images (a problem I'm sure to remedy very soon, LOL) so I thought my High Hopes, Luigi would do just fine.  Don't you just love him?!?!  There is just so much fun stuff going on with this card.  I used October Afternoon, Thrift Shop paper (which I think worked out perfectly for a manly Valentine) which I inked all the edges with Fired Brick distressing ink.  The oven mitts were paper pieced and popped up on foam tape for dimension...and so is the pizza!!    Oh, and his buttons are little black pearls.

Again, I was burning the midnight oil on completing this one so I had to make do with how my photo came out.  I wish you could see that the cardstock is actually vintage cream and not white.  It was a little challenging for me as I colored because the colors showed different than I'm use to when I color on white paper.  But I love the results.
