Whiff of Joy Thank You

We are celebrating our 2nd anniversary this week at the Whiff of Joy challenge blog.  So this week we as a team are saying thank you to so many people: our followers for making the challenge what it is, our past and present design team members for all their beautiful creations and our generous sponsors, Simon Says Stamp and of course Katharina the owner of Whiff of Joy for her continued support of the challenge blog.

I chose to use Willow with Cookies as my Thank You image.  I've just always thought of "thank you" whenever I've seen this sweet girl offering a big warm plate of yummy cookies.  I also think it would make a great tag attached to some homemade goodies.     Please join us and make your own thank you card using a Whiff of Joy image and you could win a $25 Gift Certificate from Simon Says Stamp.  Make sure to check out the other gorgeous work created by our very talented DT.

Since this is such a special thank you, I really hate that this is one of my least favorite cards ever.  The coloring is just a mess and I really should have recolored this image but I was simply too tired and running short of time so I had to use it. Not to mention the card design just never would turn out the way I was picturing it in my head.  But I do love that big flat bow!!!  I'm going to do more of those.

Sorry no close up....I just didn't like it!!  :(
And I'll update later with the Copic's and the Recipe.
Again I'm doing this really late, and I need to get to bed!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Personally I love this card and the coloring. I don't think it is a mess at all and the owner will just love it!!

Again..too hard on yourself lol I think the coloring is great..the apron pops, especially with the shadow that's on it. The paper works perfectly with the image and I love doing bows like that!! I think its great and would love to find it in my mailbox, so I'm sure the recipient will be just as proud of it when they receive it!!
Happy Anniversary to Whiff of Joy also!!

I appreciate your candidness though & know what you mean as I am very similar with my own work. However, I am learning that other's see what we do differently & I have to disagree with you - though it's unlike your normal work in style it works extremely well & certainly caught my eye the moment I saw it. The detail of the sentiment & the clean look is glorious.
Hope you've got some rest too.

Wendy, if I could colour half as well as you, I'd be a very happy crafter! These eyes see no flaws at all - just perfection. I, too, love your bow, but the part I like best is the gems - one big and two small. I LOVE the look of that next to the stamp. I'll be stealing that idea for sure.

Wendy, you are much too hard on yourself. Well, I think most of us are our own worst critics. This card is definitely not a mess. I happen to think it turned out lovely. I do agree with you on one thing, though, and that's the bow. I've not made one like that and I think I'll have to give it a try!
