It's time for another challenge at Aud Sentiments and this time we want you to RELAX.
Make any card or project and use the word RELAX somewhere in your sentiment. We are sponsored this week by Sassy Studio Designs and I was given this digital image Cocoa Carol to design with.
I've made a little holder for a pouch of hot chocolate. My template was reconfigured but is based off of the template that you can find here. I would have shown you a photo of the hot chocolate pouch inside but I just could not get a good photo. (So use your imagination. LOL) I think these little holders would make perfect Christmas gifts to give to teachers and co-workers, etc.
Just like yesterday's card, I inked the edges of my nestie frame while it was still in the die. I have seen that technique a million times and have no idea why I've never tried it before this week. It's so awesome. It really adds a wow factor and keeps that white cardstock from overpowering the design. I don't have an airbrush system for my Copics and now that I'm getting such good results with my ink pads I don't see the need for one.
I paper pieced the couch and used a deep purple cardstock. I'm not a big fan of purple, so this was a hard project for me to like. But I really wanted to use the Basic Grey paper because I had started it for another project and abandoned it for paper that appealed to me more. I figured if I didn't use it now it would sit in the "blackhole of never to be use products", and I'm really trying to be better about using what I buy.

Just catching up with you - love this idea & the paper piecing is stunning. I've never tried the inking technique before either & now I've been give 5 sets of nesties for my birthday I can have a go. Now purple/mauve is my favourite colour but I know what you mean about working with colours that aren't.... it's learning all the time.
