Better Get Better!!

This is my last card as a guest designer for the ABC Challenge blog. It was very sweet of them to ask me to join them. Their challenge this fortnight is B is for BLUE.  Well this is a little aqua blue, but blue is blue right?

This is my new LOTV stamp called Little Nurse.  I think it's the perfect get well soon image.  I also tried my hand at making my own flower which was a lot of fun.  You'll see more handmade flowers from me soon I'm sure.  I want some flower die's so I can cut felt.  The flower shape was made with my Cricut cartridge Accent Essentials.  I really love the ticket stamp too because you can add your own sentiment inside.  I used a perforator cutter on the edges so that it looks just like it was torn from a roll of tickets rather than a straight cut.  (It's all about the details people, LOL)

I also challenged myself to use DP that I really didn't like.  I can tell you that I won't do that to myself very often.  This card sat on my table for over a week unfinished because I just didn't like it!!  LOL  But honestly it grew on me and it's become one of my favorites.   I sent it to a friend this week who is in the hospital and she loved it.

Truly Scrumptious = #39 Brads, Buttons & Bows

Wendy

Wendy, this card is absolutely divine! How cool of you to bring out the colors in the designer paper with just the right balance, making it picture perfect! Boy are you fantastic - look at that coloring! I love that ticket too and it does look as if it had been torn from a roll. The flower is incredibly gorgeous. Love the rick-rack - perfect with a stunning card! Love the image - little nurse making teddy feel better - it's just so darn perfect! :-)

Love the red highlighting & teddy's pillow looks so lovely & soft. I too am on the lookout for flower dies but using my punches at present. I agree it is all in the detail, even if the detail isn't visible it makes a difference somehow - that ticket is a beauty, the viewer may not be aware of all that we put into something but it contributes to the overall continuity of design. Well those are my thoughts......
