Something From Your Stash!!  

Couldn't get any easier, doesn't matter what it is, just use up something you've had for awhile. I've used a ribbon charm that I've had in my stash for YEARS!  I find nothing more delightful in my card making than finally using something I've had laying around and gathering dust.  It's just such a good feeling!  LOL

Our awesome sponsor this week is Karen's Doodles!! And I was generously given Dragon Birthday to play with.  How stinkin' cute is he?!?!  Poor guy, I don't think he realizes that he's just not gonna get those candles to go out!  I'm a huge fan of Karen's images and could not wait to get him all colored up.  If you don't have any Karen's Doodle images you have got to go check out her store.  Cute, Cute Cute is all I can say!!!

In my excitement, I wanted to try another new background technique (see here) and really destroyed my image.  :( I need lot's of practice before I can do that technique any justice.  Well, I decided to salvage my sweet little dragon anyway.  I cut him out and popped him up to give that cool 3-D effect which you can see in the photo below.  So it was not a total loss.  :)

I've used lot of Stickles on the cake's icing and flame as well as Glossy Accents to his eyes.  I decided on the ric rac ribbon to mimic the icing on the cake and some alligator/leather like paper I've also been hoarding in my stash.
