Ain't No Sunshine...

There's not been much sunshine here lately.  Lot's and lots of rain...thus the inspiration.  :)

I was able to combine my 7 Kids College Fund sample with today's new Sweet Stop Sketch!!

The second I saw this sketch I knew I wanted to use ribbon loops on each side rather than paper panels.  But I couldn't decided which ribbon I liked best (solid or dotted) so I went with both!!  :)  I've also been wanting to try coloring monochromatic for the longest time and CC Designs, Rainy Day Emma turned out to be the perfect choice. I enjoyed coloring this sooo much!!  There's no stress when you know all your colors are going to be the same.  :)

When my husband came home from work and saw this card he said it was his favorite that I've ever made!!!  How sweet is THAT?!??!  Love that man!  :)  He even put it on our dresser in the bedroom...I think he thinks he's keeping it.  LOL

Wendy, I love this card. I just cannot do monochromatic but you have nailed it with this card...it's beautiful. I love that little punch of red for the umbrella. How sweet of your hubby wanting to keep this card. Hope your little one had a fantastic birthday!

Stunning idea with the ribbon tabs & I love that splash of red. It's lovely when you get that kind of response from your husband isn't it? I really like the way you've carried the dotty theme through too, you background looks like rain falling.
